His Majesty Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, met with Australia’s Governor-General, David Hurley, today at Expo 2020 Dubai.
The two leaders discussed ways to strengthen bilateral relations between the UAE and Australia, as well as new prospects in a variety of industries.
Sheikh Mohammed was joined by Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai’s Deputy Ruler, Deputy Prime Minister, and Finance Minister.
He stated that his country was eager to expand cooperation and bilateral partnerships in areas like as research, renewable technology, and tourism.
According to Gen Hurley, Expo 2020 demonstrated that Dubai could hold a big global event that allowed people to interact, learn about diverse cultures, and propose new answers to global concerns such as the pandemic and climate change.
Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority and Supreme Chairman of the Emirates Airline Group, Sheikh Mansour bin Mohammed, and a number of ministers, directors of local departments, and dignitaries attended the meeting, as did Saqr Ghobash, Speaker of the Federal National Council.
