On the amazing night of 22.02.2022, Dubai’s skyline formally welcomed its newest famous landmark.
The Museum of the Future, dubbed the “most beautiful building on Earth,” was lighted with spectacular futuristic light projections on Tuesday, celebrating its historic opening to the public.
His Majesty Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Dubai, along with Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, and Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of Finance, inaugurated the iconic landmark during a grand ceremony that saw the Museum’s exterior facade transform into a work of art.
“The Museum of the Future is a message of hope, a worldwide scientific platform, and an integrated institutional framework to design a brighter future for all of us,” Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid remarked during the inauguration ceremony.
He said, “It represents the dynamic human imagination as well as the Emirati will that continues to outperform the rest of the globe. The Museum will serve as a meeting place for great minds, scientists, intellectuals, and professionals from all around the world.”
Commenting on the landmark’s unveiling, Mohammed Abdullah Al Gergawi, Chairman of the Museum of the Future, drew parallels between Sheikh Mohammed’s worldview and the Museum of the Future.
“In its constantly changing and refreshed idea, the Museum of the Future symbolizes His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid’s robust and agile vision in reacting to future developments,” he stated.
The dazzling torus-shaped seven-story pillarless masterpiece is 77 meters tall and spreads over an area of 30,000 square meters atop a hill on the busy Sheikh Zayed Road.
The Museum of the Future is the newest addition to Dubai’s daring architectural endeavors, signaling the UAE’s path to a bright future.
